About Us

Paolo Prep Academy is the brainchild of Lisa Paolo. Lisa gave birth to Paolo Prep Academy in August 2011.  Tired of having a hard time finding the right fit with both public and private education for her children she decided that she could and would do better. Education and children are her passions.  Holding students to the highest expectations and teaching them to think are her goals.

Lisa Paolo is first and foremost a wife and a mother to 5 beautiful children Dominic, 20, Sabrina, 17, Alyssa, 13, and Gina, 10, and Joey, 8.  She received a B.S. in Education from St. John’s University and is licensed in New York and Florida as a Teacher for grades N-12 with additional certification as a Teacher of Social Studies for grades 7-12. Lisa received a M.S. in Education with a concentration in Gifted Education from St. John’s University. Lisa has a Ed.S and is also certified as an Administrator and Supervisor in both New York and Florida as well as a licensed Special Education Teacher. She had a successful career in New York City as a teacher for 9 years and a Principal for 5 years. She was the youngest Principal ever appointed in New York City’s Department of Education.

Lisa spent the last three years building an academy private school program at a local Sports Institute.  Students complete their high school college prep curriculum through an individualized and customized program.  Students excel in their grades and SAT scores gaining 90-250 points per section on their college examinations.  Paolo Prep Academy students scored higher than Florida schools and in the nation on the English and Reading sections of the ACT.  In the last five years, graduates of the Paolo Prep Academy have had 100% of the students obtain college scholarships to play sports at the next level.  The class of 2016 had 50% of the student athletes attend D1 Universities, 25% attend D2, and 25%JUCO, or NAIA colleges, and over $800,000 in college scholarships.  In the past 5 years, students have earned over 2 Million Dollars in Scholarships.
